Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue is one of the star watches for 2013. Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue is a modern watch in its materials and is a 42mm stainless steel chronograph that was inspired by the 1973/74 release of the reference 7169, or so-called “Monte-Carlo”. The Tudor Chronograph ref 7169 featured a two register dial and magnified date window at 6 o’clock. Related replica Tudor watches.
The dial of replica Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue is extremely reminiscent of the 7169, though the running seconds and chronograph minutes had swapped positions thanks to the differences between the ETA 234 and the current movement. You see a wonderful myriad of bright colors over the light taupe background. The use of blue to surround the chronograph registers as well as the outer minutes track is simply perfect.
The red, orange, and white over blue really works wonders. You will also notice that while the hour markers on this watch are very similar to the 7169 (and 7149 for that matter), they are actually quite different than what is found on the black and grey Heritage Chrono.
Replica Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue, at six o’clock, there’s a small, unmagnified date window. The font of the date display is pencil thin, and in all honesty, I often forgot this watch had a date window at all. The blue multi-directional rotatable aluminum bezel has very solid feel and looks into place without being too rigid.
